College campuses are often the hotbeds of proxy war activity during crises in Israel and, right now, the heat is blasting on Jewish students at UCLA. Hillel at UCLA is committed to standing alongside students in this particular time of need – no other campus organization can do what Hillel does. 

To keep up with the demand of our Jewish Bruin community, our contribution will help Hillel:

• Ensure that an armed security guard is present whenever the building is open to the student public, as well as send security to protect offsite Hillel programs.
• Maintain and expand critical security infrastructure around the building.
• Increase access to mental health services including individual therapy, pastoral care and group processing spaces.
• Train students to create their own online social media content celebrating their Jewish pride.
• Launch new initiatives that bridge students, faculty and administration to each other, paving the path for a stronger and more positive campus climate for Jewish students.

Let’s put the power back in the hands of students. Together we can fight antisemitism and build stronger, more positive connections to Israel for UCLA students and faculty.
